A facelift is only as good as the person who plans it and the facility where it is done. Marketing will not tell you either one. Board certification will not tell you everything either, but it is the first filter that belongs on the list before photos, reviews, or a specific facelift technique.

- Look at the surgeon’s own facelift gallery, including the neck. If the neck is missing, the operation you want may be missing too.
- Sit with more than one ABPS surgeon. The right one is the person who can explain your face, whom you feel most comfortable with, not the surgeon with the most adjectives on a homepage.
